No. 570 — Corn with Butter
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 570 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Strip young corn of its leaves and silk and wash in cold water.
One hour before serving, lower the cobs into salted boiling water and cook under a lid until tender.
Take out onto a hot napkin, cover with another napkin and serve with fresh butter separately.
