English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 4096 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Prepare solomki or emelushki in the same way as snipe in recipe No. 4095, but for summer rather than winter use.
A later Russian editorial note identifies emelushki as waxwings.
