No. 3988 — Dried Horseradish, Another Method
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3988 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
To serve dried horseradish with vinegar as usual, pour fresh water over the needed amount a few minutes before serving.
The author says the root recovers its sharpness.
Drain the water and add vinegar or sour cream.
