English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3779 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Wipe oranges thoroughly dry, put in a tin-lined copper saucepan, cover tightly and place on ice.
Once a week wipe both fruit and saucepan dry without removing them from the icehouse.
