English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3043 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Use 1 glass sifted crumbs made from dark rye bread, 2 glasses sugar, 3–4 zolotniks cinnamon, 20 yolks and 20 beaten whites. The source gives this as an alternative proportion for the rye-breadcrumb baba.
For six people bake one-third of the specified quantities.
