Prepare the currant mixture as for jelly No. 1972, reducing it to 3 glasses. The source also gives jelly No. 1974 as an alternative point of reference.
To provide
1 full glass of syrup or juice from fresh berries. 5 zolotniks of isinglass and ⅝ pound of sugar. | Zest of 1 lemon. (¾ glass of table wine). Or use jelly No. 1974. |
