English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 2307 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Use borscht recipe No. 135, but replace animal fat with an eighth glass vegetable oil.
Serve with crucian carp, small dumpling ears No. 2363 or fish quenelles No. 2357.
