No. 1815 — Funnel-Fried Khvorost, Third Method
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 1815 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Mix one glass flour, half a glass sugar and a little cinnamon with three quarters glass wine.
Fold in six whipped egg whites, then pour the batter in fine threads into hot fat.
Fry on both sides and serve while crisp.
