No. 176 — Milk Soup with Rice
Complete English translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 176 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original quantities, preparation and source.
Cook ½ glass of rice as instructed in No. 240. Add it to three historical bottles of milk that have been brought to the boil once. Salt lightly, add one spoonful of butter, simmer until the rice and milk have cooked together and serve immediately.
Offer sugar and cinnamon separately.
