English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 744 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Slice two Polish white rolls. Dip the slices into eggs beaten with milk and let them soften slightly.
Fry in butter. The source gives one glass of milk, two eggs and ¼ Russian pound of butter.
