No. 499 — Cranberry Syrup
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 499 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Wash ¼ Russian pound of cranberries, approximately ¾ glass. Cover with one glass of cold water, boil until soft, mash and strain.
Add ½ glass of sugar, bring to the boil and let cool.
