No. 4031 — A Method for Obtaining More Potatoes
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 4031 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
The author recommends removing potato flowers as soon as they appear, on the belief that they absorb nourishment from the soil that would otherwise go to the tubers.
