English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 399 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Make the basic white sauce No. 386 with broth and strain. Add salt and chopped green onions.
Serve with roast or boiled beef, cutlets, a pancake pie or similar dishes.
To provide
½ spoonful of butter 1 spoonful of flour | Green onions 2–3 glasses of broth |
