No. 3983 — Dried Dill and Parsley Greens

English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3983 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.

Sow dill in the middle of August. When grown by September, cut at the roots and dry on a cloth outdoors.

Alternatively tie stems into pairs of bunches and hang in sunshine or a warm room.

When dry, rub into a coarse powder, bottle in glass jars and use in soups and other dishes.

Dry green parsley for winter in the same way.
