No. 3865 — Redcurrants in a Sugar Shirt
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3865 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Dip each full good currant cluster into egg white, then immediately coat with sugar.
Place on a waxed iron baking sheet or dish and dry in an oven at gentle residual heat.
The author says they are delicious but cannot be stored long.
