English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3797 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Select good red gooseberries as ripe as those intended for eating and trim the stems.
Pack them into jars and cover with vinegar prepared as for pickled white plums in recipe No. 3736.
