English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3761 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Remove the stones, dry cherries in sunshine and finish in a cooling oven.
Alternatively leave stones in and repeatedly dry in residual oven heat on sieves or racks lightly lined with straw.
