English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3721 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Make as in recipe No. 3720, but use sour apples alone.
Although the author considers it less tasty, a little may replace vinegar or other souring ingredients in sauces and even soups.
