No. 3631 — Anchovy Butter
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3631 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Finely chop 10 anchovies and pound in a mortar, then mix thoroughly with ½ pound unsalted butter.
Serve on bread or, especially, with beefsteak.
