English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3489 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
For 6 glasses, combine ½ bottle ratafia, 1 bottle boiling water, juice of 1 lemon and ¼–½ pound sugar.
The source says to boil the mixture a few times and cool, serving either cold or hot according to preference.
