No. 3474 — Anise Vodka
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3474 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Prepare in the same way as the preceding flavoured vodkas.
For ¼ vedro spirit the source gives ½ handful anise, ¾ zolotnik cinnamon, ¾ zolotnik cloves, 1½ zolotniks lemon zest, 4½ glasses water and 1½–2 pounds sugar.
