No. 3324 — Wild Strawberry Syrup for Prompt Use, Another Method
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3324 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Put the berries in a preserve pan and scald with just enough boiling water to barely cover them. Bring to the boil twice and strain.
For every 3 glasses juice take 1 pound sugar, bring to the boil three or four times and finish as usual.
