No. 3314 — Lemon Jelly with Gooseberry Juice
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3314 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Cook green gooseberries in water and strain. For 2 glasses of this juice take ½ glass lemon juice and 2½ glasses fine sugar that has first been rubbed over lemon zest.
Cook, measuring with a wooden splinter, until reaching the designated mark.
