No. 3288 — Pineapple and Apple Preserve
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3288 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
If there are few pineapples, add apple varieties that hold their shape, such as Antonovka or Plodovitka, sliced.
Peel and slice the pineapples. The more pineapple the better, but even one-quarter pineapple to three-quarters apples produces a preserve that the author considers tasty and similar to true pineapple preserve.
Cook as described in recipe No. 3286; the original page also links to that method.
