No. 3241 — Sugar Gingerbread
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3241 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
For 5 egg whites take ¾ pound fine sifted sugar, ½ pound flour and ¼ pound candied watermelon rind or another candied fruit.
Rub everything together, roll out and make round gingerbread cakes.
