No. 3151 — Small Flat Buns
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3151 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Knead 1 glass warm cream, 1 tablespoon sugar, 2 yolks, 3 zolotniks dry yeast, a little anise and 1 pound flour.
Allow to rise, roll out fairly thinly and cut into rounds using a cutter. Let rise slightly again, brush with butter and bake.
