No. 3055 — How to Give Sugar a Vanilla Aroma
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 3055 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Kulich and other baked goods can be sprinkled with fragrant sugar prepared as follows: place a vanilla pod in a tin and fill it with fine sugar. Keep the tin tightly closed.
When only half the sugar remains, top up with fresh sugar, stir and close the tin again.
