No. 2764 — Grape Compote with Maraschino
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 2764 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Take 6 glasses of Crimean grapes, remove them from their stems, peel the skins and arrange on a serving dish.
Pour over cold syrup made from ¼–¾ pound of sugar and 1 glass of maraschino.
