No. 2660 — Italian Macaroni with Onion
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 2660 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Boil 1 pound of macaroni in salted water, drain on a sieve and place on a serving dish.
Pour over ½ glass of Provençal (olive), sunflower, walnut or mustard oil in which 2–3 onions, or a quantity of spring onions, have been fried.
