No. 2378 — Sauerkraut and Mushroom Pie
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 2378 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Prepare the sauerkraut filling as in No. 2377, replacing fish with a quarter pound dried mushrooms.
Cook the mushrooms until soft, chop finely and fry with onion in a quarter glass oil. Mix with cabbage and fill the pie.
