No. 2350 — Beer Soup
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 2350 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Mix two bottles good beer and two glasses water, add a glass sugar or molasses and a teaspoon caraway seeds or lemon zest.
Serve with croûtons from sweet-and-sour bread containing raisins and orange peel.
