No. 2073 — Bitter-Orange and Apple Cake Filling
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 2073 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
For six people cut two sweet apples and the flesh of one bitter orange into pieces.
Add a little water, cook until soft, sieve, add a quarter pound sugar and reduce until thick.
