English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 2030 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Peel ripe melon, cut into pieces and arrange on a serving dish.
Make syrup from half a pound sugar and one and a half glasses water, pour hot over melon and serve when cold.
