No. 1817 — Yeast Fritters with Apples
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 1817 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Make the batter according to No. 1816.
Just before frying add three apples, peeled, cored and cut into rounds.
Scoop one apple round with each portion of batter and fry in hot fat or butter. Serve with sugar and jam.
