No. 1808 — Wafers with Wine, Cinnamon or Jam
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 1808 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Mix three quarters glass flour and wine with half a glass sugar, bake thin wafers according to the general note.
Sprinkle with a heaped spoonful mixed sugar and cinnamon, pair them and warm in the iron for two minutes.
Alternatively sandwich the wafers with jam and sprinkle with sugar to serve.
