No. 1725 — Macaroni with Dried Mushrooms
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 1725 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Boil six dried mushrooms and mince them finely.
Cook three quarters pound macaroni in a little of the mushroom broth.
Fry one or two minced onions in two spoonfuls butter, stir in mushrooms and macaroni, transfer to a dish and serve.
