English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 1665 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Mix two pounds wheat flour, eight yolks and half a pound of Finnish-style butter, and dilute with sour milk to the proper batter consistency.
Beat eight whites, fold into the batter and fry bliny.
