No. 1662 — Bliny with Eggs, Onion or Small Fish
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 1662 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Prepare buckwheat or wheat bliny batter and pour into a buttered skillet.
Sprinkle with three or four finely chopped hard-boiled eggs, then fry.
Alternatively scatter two or three finely chopped white onions, green onions, or tiny fish (snyatki) over the batter before cooking.
