No. 1549 — Rice Pudding with Chocolate
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 1549 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Prepare rice pudding as in No. 1553, adding one eighth Russian pound of chocolate.
Omit vanilla and lemon zest when using chocolate.
Serve with sabayon, chocolate or almond sauce, vanilla milk or cream sauce, rum sauce, or simply sugar and cream.
