No. 1356 — Potato and Beetroot Salad for Boiled Beef
English historical translation of Molokhovets recipe No. 1356 from the 1901 Russian cookbook, retaining original methods and measures.
Boil twelve potatoes and bake three beetroots, then cut all into slices.
Add ¼ Russian pound of cooked white beans, salt, a little pepper, two spoonfuls of olive oil, two or three spoonfuls of vinegar and chopped herbs.
Mix and serve as an accompaniment to boiled beef.
